Who I am
I'm 62 years old, I live in Freiburg, and I experienced perhaps the loveliest surprise of my life only in my late fifties: that even after a long, full life you can fall in love all over again. After 31 years of marriage I suddenly found myself alone at 57 – and thought the chapter on love was closed for me. Today I know how wrong I was.

How it all began
It was my daughter who pushed the laptop towards me one Sunday afternoon and said: "Mum, just give it a try." I resisted, hesitated and deleted my profile three times. But curiosity was stronger than fear. After some disappointing and some wonderful dates, I understood that dating over 60 follows its own rules – more honest, more relaxed and often surprisingly funny. You have nothing left to prove and you finally know what you want.
I want to pass these experiences on, because back then I would have wished for someone who told me openly how it really works – without clichés and without the feeling of being too old for my own wish for closeness.
